Circus Phlavio Scrapbook Style by BrunoTheFox Circus Phlavio Scrapbook Style by BrunoTheFox
Full view = the full experience!

Meet Pip and Magissimo again: the stars of my game "The Cards of Circus Phlavio". It's no secret that I'd love to recreate the entire game professionally someday-- and this is one of the thoughts that crossed my mind for a potential revamp or sequel (not sure which, hence the shortened title).

The idea is to let the entire game look like a scrapbook, with environments made out of paper and fabric, and characters that look like they've been placed on top of the stack. This is something I've wanted to do for ages... With Kirby's Epic Yarn coming up, I guess it's not very original anymore, but you'll just have to trust me when I say that the idea goes way back!

I had tons of fun tweaking Pip's looks and working with all these textures of cardboard, paper and fabric. The result looks kinda cute, or so I believe... Let me know what you think!

- Basic shapes drawn on paper and in CorelDRAW
- Effects added in Paint Shop Pro
- Textures from CGTextures: [link]
- Drawing and characters belong to me! :)

hehe, I trust you about the idea origins.

The idea of the piece overlapping eachother both seems and looks great. Looking forward to see what more you can squeeze out from your ideas ^^

Thanks :giggle: They're not popular, but it feels good to draw these guys every now and then.

This cover is really impressive for its colours, shades, textures, crossed coloured grass and cheerful characters perfectly drawn by you. I didn't know this project of yours, so I'll wait for itto be completed!

Thanks a bunch :)

"The Cards of Circus Phlavio" was a little platformer/RPG that I made for a game design class, about 2.5 years ago now. I'm not too happy with the game itself anymore, but I still enjoy drawing its characters, and I hope to turn it into a professional game someday.

I like how you used the whole scene as layered paper =3

And to think I'd just about forgotten about this project of yours. Little girl and her handy-dandy cards and such, beating down those menacing robots and such. It's nice seeing more from this project again. :)
